RSE | RPI-GMM: A Novel Structure-Based and Phenology-Independent Algorithm for Mapping National Rubber Plantations at 10m Resolution

This article introduces a new framework combining the Rubber Plantation Index (RPI) with unsupervised Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) classification to accurately map rubber plantations using Sentinel-1 SAR and Sentinel-2 SWIR data, achieving high accuracy without relying on phenological signals.
